Repoint the Walls 2025
The cemetery’s surrounding walls are Grade II listed and parts date back to the 16th century. Sadly, past repairs with modern cement have damaged the original brickwork, and the walls are now in urgent need of conservation.

If we don’t act soon, this rare and beautiful piece of King’s Lynn’s history could be lost. With proper restoration using traditional lime mortar, the walls will be secure and weatherproof for the next century.

Repairs will take place in three phases, each costing approximately £4,000:

Phase 1 – Coping and Wall Tops
Repointing and repairing the coping stones to help the lower walls dry out.
Phase 2 – Interior Walls
Removing poor-quality cement pointing and replacing damaged bricks with vintage ones.
Phase 3 – Exterior Walls
Completing the repointing and restoration of the outer boundary walls.
If you would like to help us reach our fundraising total of £12,000, please email us at: contact@jewishcemeterykingslynn.com.
Restore the Door 2020-21
The old door became very difficult to open, and needed replacing. We smarted it up and now it's a welcoming entrance to the cemetery garden.
